Gold prices rise

KARACHI: The local gold prices on Thursday posted a sizeable gain with global bullion value rising, traders said. Prices of gold gained Rs 1400 to Rs 254,900 per tola and Rs 1201 to Rs 218,536 per 10 grams.

On the world market, gold prices grew by $ 17 to $ 2432 per ounce with silver standing at $ 29 an ounce, traders quoted.

Domestically, silver prices remained inched for Rs 2900 per tola and Rs 2486.28 per 10 grams, traders added.
