HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks began Wednesday slightly higher following the previous day’s big loss, with focus now on the conclusion of the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.18 percent, or 29.53 points, to 16,559.01.
The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.13 percent, or 4.11 points, to 3,058.65, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange eased 0.25 percent, or 4.48 points, to 1,791.24.
