Gold prices slightly down

KARACHI: Gold prices on Tuesday saw a slight fall on the local market, traders said. They lost Rs 400 to Rs 209200 per tola and Rs 343 to Rs 179355 per 10 grams.

Silver prices stood unchanged for Rs 2550 per tola and Rs 2186.21 per 10 grams.

On the world market, gold prices were quoted for $1975 per ounce with the local market’s $20 “premium” and silver stood for $23.17 per ounce.

The bullion market spokesman, Abdullah Razaq said that the association has consented to allow a $20 “premium” on global gold rates for the domestic trade.
