KARACHI: Government should immediately resolve the refund matters, energy issues to boost the Export oriented sector, said Kashif Mehtab Chawla, Chairman Towel Manufacturers Association of Pakistan.
The existing energy tariff with shooting slabs is providing a massive distress to the trade and industry specially the export oriented sector which are backbone of economy. Kashif Mehtab said the export sector provides huge employment across the country and also generating comprehensive Revenue & Foreign Exchange into the national exchequer.
Kashif Mehtab said the pending refund matters are also creating severe hazard for the growth of trade and industry, while the industrialists always prioritize to invest all available capital in their business”, added.
Addressing to the members, Kashif Mehtab said that as Chairman TMA, he always emphasized that Government should provide Zero rated facility, rationalize taxes & level playing field for Export Oriented Sector which will definitely boost the trade and economic activities in the country.
He said that Government should also prioritize Gas and power plants and ensure their maximum capacity should be available for Export sector rather than to provide expensive energy tariff and increasing cost of doing business.
