Bulgaria's jobless rate eases to 6.9pc in February

SOFIA: Bulgaria's unemployment rate edged down to 6.9% in February from 7% in January, data from the state employment agency showed on Monday, when more people found work mainly in the processing industry and through government-supported schemes.
The jobless rate was 6.2% in February 2020.
There were some 4,469 less unemployed people in the Balkan country of 7 million than a month earlier, but about 22,781 more than a year before as the coronavirus pandemic takes its toll on the small and open economy.
