Gold surges Rs 1400 per tola

KARACHI: Gold on Friday witnessed a surge of Rs1400 per tola on the local market, traders said. The precious metal per tola touched Rs 116000 mark on the domestic level, after its value surged by Rs 1400. Price of gold per 10 grams also surged by Rs1200 to Rs 9945. The yellow metal per ounce was quoted for $1958 on the world market, after growing by $40. Silver was available for Rs 1250 per tola, up by Rs30; Rs1071.67 per 10 grams, up by Rs25.72 and $25.82 per ounce, traders said.
