Ukraine sees 2020/21 grain exports falling 16pc to 47.4mn tonnes

KYIV: Ukraine's grain exports are likely to fall by around 16% to 47.4 million tonnes due to a smaller harvest, economy ministry data showed on Monday.
That includes 17.5 million tonnes of wheat, 26 million tonnes of corn and 3.3 million tonnes of barley.
The world's fourth-largest wheat exporter, Ukraine plans to harvest 25.6 million tonnes of wheat, 33 million tonnes of corn and 7.3 million tonnes of barley in 2020, the ministry forecast.
The overall grain crop is likely to total 68.1 million tonnes, down from a record 75 million tonnes in 2019.
This month the ministry saw the harvest of around 70 million tonnes.
Ukraine exported 56.5 million tonnes of grain in 2019/20. Its exports are down 19.5% to 7.05 million tonnes so far this season.
