CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade soyabean futures rose on Friday for a second straight session as soyaoil futures climbed nearly 2% on demand from the US biodiesel sector, traders said

CBOT August soyabean futures settled up 5-3/4 cents at $8.97-1/2 per bushel while most-active November ended up 4-1/4 cents at $8.92-1/2.

The CBOT reported no deliveries against the August soyabean futures contract on first notice day, a factor that lifted the August against back months.

For the month of July, the November soyabean contract rose 10-1/4 cents a bushel or 1.2%, its second consecutive rise.

CBOT December soyaoil rose 0.60 cent on Friday to settle at 30.76 cents per pound while December soyameal ended down 70 cents at $297.30 per short ton.
