TOKYO: Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) rubber futures inched lower on Wednesday, as rising number of coronavirus cases in the United States and elsewhere heightened concerns about sustained weakness in the pace of the economic recovery. TOCOM's rubber contract for November delivery finished 0.3 yen lower at 157.5 yen ($1.48) per kg.

TOCOM's June contract expired on Wednesday. The most-active rubber contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange(ShFE) for September delivery fell 50 yuan to finish at 10,325 yuan ($1,460) per tonne.
