CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade soft red winter wheat and K.C. hard red winter wheat futures fell on Friday as strength in the dollar reduced already poor export demand for US supplies amid abundant global stocks, traders said.
Both CBOT soft red winter wheat and K.C. hard red winter wheat offerings hit contract lows for the second day in a row.
MGEX spring wheat was steady to firm, with short-covering underpinning prices.
For the week, CBOT wheat fell 4.6 percent, K.C. wheat fell 4.2 percent and MGEX spring wheat dropped 1.9 percent.
