SAO PAULO: Brazilian farmers are expected to produce 112.9 million tonnes of soybeans in the 2017-18 crop, up from 110.2 million tonnes seen in a November forecast, consultancy AgRural said on Friday in a statement.
Brazil's estimated soybean planted area will be 34.8 million hectares, up from 34.655 million in AgRural's November forecast. The consultancy also reduced its estimate for Brazil's center-south summer corn output to 19.7 million tonnes from 21.21 million tonnes, according to the statement.
