As 12 out of 16 teams have reached the Champions League’s round of 16, the title holders Real Madrid are expected to face these opponents in the knockouts.

Spanish giants, who are going through patch, are expected to face Manchester City, Manchester United, Pairs Saint Germain (PSG) AS Roma, Liverpool or Besiktas in the knockouts.

The draw for the first round of the knock-out stage will take place on Monday, December 11 at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The draw for the last 16 of the Champions League will be a seeded draw and the winners of the eight groups will be seeded. The eight group runners-up will be unseeded.

Group winners, or seeded teams, will be away for the first-leg matches, which are scheduled for February 13/14 and 20/21, with the second-leg games due to be played on March 6/7 and 13/14.

Meanwhile, teams from the same group or national association cannot be drawn against one another, so, for example, Manchester United cannot be drawn against the likes of Manchester City. However, that will change for the quarter-final draw, which will be an open draw.

The stage is set for December 11 draws; let’s see which team draws with Spanish giants.
