Atif Aslam's 'Pehli Dafa' draws ire of BJP in India
Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has come with his new music video 'Pehle Dafa', which has been produced by an Indian music label, featuring Atif and Bollywood actor Ileana D'Cruz, has not gone down too well with India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party has condemned T-Series, the music label which produced the video, Indian media reported.
Atif Aslam is not the only Pakistani involved with the video which has been shot at a foreign location as the video director and composer Shiraz Uppal and lyricist Shakeel Sohail are also from this side of the border.
The song is full of lovey dovey anecdotes and descriptions of exactly how you feel when you are with your one and only, the song 'Ik woh nazar, ik woh nigaah, Rooh mein shaamil iss tarah' is fabulous and Atif has touched many hearts after singing this song because he has most attractive voice in industry.
Shooting of the song has been done on exotic locations and it really looks beautiful on screen.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has been nominated for a Filmfare Award for his role in 'Kapoor & Sons' while singer Atif Aslam has been nominated in the Best Playback Singer (male) category.
Earlier this week, the BJP also opposed nominations of Pakistani artists in the Filmfare Awards.
The Indian government has banned Pakistani artists until relations between India and Pakistan improve.
Meanwhile India's rightwing political party Shiv Sena has also allegedly issued threats against the screening of Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan starrer 'Raees'.
