ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in Kohsar Market, Super Market and Jinnah Super Market.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee price list issued here Thursday, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato sold at Rs 35 per kilogram, Onion Rs 31, Tomato Rs 33, Ginger Rs 135, Garlic (China) Rs 305, Garlic Local 330, Lemon Rs 54, Lady Finger Rs 110/70, Pumpkin Rs 46, Brinjal Rs 34, Peas Rs 56, Fresh Bean Rs 40, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 40, Cucumber Rs 42, Capsicum Rs 72/56, Green Chilli Rs 55, Cauliflower Rs 26/19, Cabbage Rs 40, Bitter Gourd Rs 82/65, Spinach Rs 22/16, Radish Rs 17, Turnip Rs 27, Yam Rs 68, Maroo Rs 30, Carrot Rs 30, Chicken Rs 112 and Egg per dozen Rs 123.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 130/92, Apple Golden Rs 105/72, Apple White Rs 95/66, Apple China Rs 172/132, Banana Pak Rs 96/55, Grapes Toffee Rs 155/135, Guava 77/46, Pomegranate Rs 175/130, Musumi Rs 96/66, Shakri Rs 105/72, Kino Rs 88/50, Fruiter Rs 76/45, Pear China Rs 172/132.
The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
