LAHORE; Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 139.52 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4482.00 and closed at 4342.48 points. The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 2.824 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.610 million shares, showing an upward move of 1.214 million shares. While, out of the total 85 active scrips on 8 moved up, 34 remined equal with 43 shed values.
Engro Foods Limited, Dewan Salman Fibre Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 1.05, Re 0.75 and Re 0.45 respectively.
Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 14, Rs 7.10 and Rs 6.80 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.048 million shares, Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 235,500 shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 218,000 shares.
