Nawaz Sharif arrives in Parliament to take oath

imageISLAMABAD: Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, twice elected prime minister of Pakistan and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N on Saturday arrived in the Parliament House to take oath as member of the National Assembly after a lapse of almost fourteen years period.

Driven by Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, PML-N MNA elect from Islamabad, and clad in shawlar and Kameez with black waistcoat, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif waved to anxious supporters and mediamen waiting for his arrival at the parliament gate.

The PML-N quaid after his arrival went straight to the committee room where he would chair a meeting of his party's newly elected members of the National Assembly.

Tight security arrangements have been made in connection with the maiden session of the National Assembly.
