UNITED NATIONS: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that any use of chemical weapons against civilians was a clear violation of international law, amid reports of their alleged use in Syria's war-battered Aleppo.
Guterres is following very closely the reports of alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians in Aleppo, according to a tweet posted by the UN spokesperson's office. "Any confirmed use of such weapons, by any party to the conflict and under any circumstances, is abhorrent and a clear violation of international law," the tweet added.
According to media reports, about one hundred people have been injured in recent fighting in Aleppo governorate.
