imageKARACHI: All Pakistan Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Distributors Association has sought immediate cut in the price of LPG available in the local market.

President of the Association, Abdul Hadi Khan, in a statement Wednesday said steady price reduction of LPG in the international market demanded its synchronization in the local market.

"Due attention paid towards the cause can help to turn LPG cost effective for consumers in the country," he said.

Abdul Hadi Khan said concerted efforts to promote LPG in the country can also turn it 30% cheaper as compared to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). It was also claimed that LPG in terms of mileage is 50% cheaper than petrol and diesel.

Easy availability of LPG, he said, is also a solution to brave the diminishing resources of natural gas in the country enabling both the domestic as well as industrial consumers to get rid of the energy crisis.

Easy and cost effective availability of LPG will be equally beneficial for natural gas, CNG and petrol, he said.
