IMF spokesman Gerry Rice said Hungary would treat the joint IMF-European Union program as "precautionary" and did not intend to draw any of the funds.

"A mission will be on the ground starting on Tuesday," Rice told a news briefing. "I would not want to preempt that work by going much further (but) clearly the dialogue relationship is active."
