fayyaz laghari 400KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, has directed that there should be strict surveillance of the entry points of all the `Majalis', processions, Imambargahs and Masajids.

 

For the snap checking in the area around, special teams of the ACLC be formed which by remaining in contact with the police stations.

 

They should also recover the snatched/stolen vehicles/motorcycles and take action against unregistered/AFR number plates, the IGP further instructed.

 

A police statement here on Monday said that Leghari also directed that in view of the prevailing law and order situation, effective steps be undertaken for the recovery of the snatched/stolen vehicles/motorcycles and those involved in the theft or stealing of vehicles/motorcycles be apprehended.

 

The IGP urged that there should be an alert at all the police stations in the province for the recovery of the snatched/stolen vehicles and arrest of those involved in such acts.

 

There should also be entry at the VHF Control regarding such vehicles, he added.
