imageNewly-elected BCCI president Anurag Thakur has announced that help of Rs five crore to the deaf and dumb cricketers, according to Deaf Cricket Society (DCS).

According to Indian Express, DCS officials met Thakur and congratulated him for becoming the president of the Indian Cricket Board. Thakur also felicitated for. “It is highly appreciable that immediately after becoming President Anurag Thakur announced Rs 5 crore help towards deaf and dumb and visually impaired cricketers for the next five years,” a DFS press release stated.

Anurag Thakur as to be elected president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) its youngest ever president.

Thakur replaced Shashank Manohar who took over as the President of BCCI barely seven months ago, and opted to leave BCCI for the post of International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman.
