RAWALPINDI: Bodies of two soldiers recovered from snow slide at Gayari Sector, Siachen last night, were identified as Shaheed Sepoy Ali Muhammad and Shaheed Sepoy Muhammad Akbar.
According to ISPR here on Tuesday, Shaheed Sepoy Ali Muhammad and Muhammad Akbar belong to Skardu and Gamba, near Skardu respectively.
It may be mentioned here that 139 soldiers including some civilians of 6 Northern Light Infantry Battalion came under a huge avalanche early Saturday morning (April 7, 2012) in Gayari sector near Skardu.
