imagePESHAWAR: The nation is observing the second anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar today (Friday).

Today, as Pakistani citizens hold candlelight vigils in memory of the APS victims, the bereaved parents cherish their children belongings at their homes. More than 150 lives mostly children lost in the Peshawar school massacre on December 16, 2014, widely considered the deadliest extremist attack in Pakistans history.

According to latest reports, Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa is attending the ceremony at APS Peshawar, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and Corps Commander Peshawar, to pay homage to the martyred students and staff members of the school.

Parents of the martyrs are also attending the ceremony, while several schools in Peshawar have been closed today in memory of the victims.

Various functions are being arranged to pay homage to the martyred in APS.
