Industrial, agriculture sectors exemption from gas, power loadshedding

Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), apex body of chambers in the country, on Friday urged the government to exempt industrial sector from power/gas load shedding and withdraw increase in fuel prices to strengthen national economy.

 

President FPCCI, Fazal Qadir Sherani,VP SAARC CCI Iftikhar Ali Malik and former LCCI SVP Meher Kashif Younis ,while talking to media, urged that government should accord top priority to industrial and agricultural sectors. They said that uninterrupted provision of gas and power is basic pre-requisite and a "life line" for industrial and agricultural growth.

 

Iftikhar Ali Malik said that hike in gas,power and petroleum products prices was badly affecting the manufacturers,already hit by gas and power loadshedding.
