PPP believes in Parliament's supremacy: Kundi

Talking to APP, he said that President Asif Ali Zardari had transferred his powers to the Parliament to stabilize the democratic process in the country.

 

He said the restoration of 1973 Constitution in its original form was the biggest ever achievement of the PPP government.

 

Replying to a question, Kundi said that the PPP believed in a strong democratic system and institutions and urged the opposition to work for strengthening democracy.

 

He said that the PPP had given rights to the provinces through 7th NFC Award and 18th Constitutional Amendment.

 

He said that only the PPP-led coalition government could ensure the sanctity of the Constitution.
