FPCCI concerned over gas tariff hike

President FPCCI,Fazal Qadir Sherani told APP that higher gas tariff would affect the manufacturers already hit by gas, power loadshedding and weak rupee against dollar.

 

All this would hamper industrial production in the country and lead to cuts in export orders,he apprehended.  Vice President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iftikhar Ali Malik said that high power, gas and petroleum tariffs had created liquidity crunch for importers of industrial raw materials.

 

He said that keeping in view the business scenario world over high rate of mark up by banks should also be reduced to single digit for providing relief to the industry.

 

Former SVP LCCI, Meher Kashif Younas said that increased petroleum prices were increasing the cost of doing business,he added.
