15 Dec, 2012

The decision was made at a meeting held with the owners of marriage halls and lawns here on Friday evening. Syed Barkat Ahmed Rizvi claimed that these marriage halls and lawns are badly affecting the infrastructure of Hyderabad therefore the HMC management has decided not to grant permission of opening of more marriage halls and lawns.

The Administrator set the deadline for removal of all encroachments outside the marriage halls and lawns and maintained that if the owners failed to do so within next 15 days, necessary action will be initiated by the HMC management.

He also directed them to strictly implement the restrictions of closing their marriage halls and lawns at 12 midnight as in case of violation, action will be taken against the owners and bookers.

Syed Barkat Ahmed Rizvi also expressed his concern over increasing trend of aerial firing and fireworks display outside the marriage halls and lawns and asked the owners to strictly implement the restrictions which already announced in this direction.

He also directed the officers of the district police to take action against those who involved in aerial firing and fireworks display on the occasions of wedding ceremonies.
