The rain started lashing Quetta and adjoining areas on Wednesday after 11am and later, at night, it again started and continued lashing till morning.

The mountains surrounding Quetta valley including Koh Chiltan, Koh Zarghoon, Koh Takato and Koh Murdar received snowfall.

Due to the heavy showers, mercury dropped in the provincial capital and weather turned very chilled and biting, forcing people to wear warm clothes and remain indoors.

The vehicular traffic was also thin on city roads.

The chocking of sewerage system was also reported from several localities of the city; however, teams of the Metropolitan Corporation were busy in draining out the accumulated rainwater from roads and streets.
