Food to keep the body warm during winter: Dietician

Talking in a program of a private news channel on Thursday , Dr.Shugfta Feroz said that less sweating is good in winter as it describes body temperature adding that water intake must be around 6-8 glass in a day.

 

She said it's a proven test that urine should be of pale color in winter that indicates that body is fully hydrated.

 

She said that having breakfast is very essential as it regulates the insulin level in body and controls the hunger drive.

 

To a question she said orange provides vitamin C in winter but it reduces the body temperature which can cause cold and flu that is why it is recommended to take orange in sunny weather.

 

She suggested that during winter, chicken corn soup is very important for kids besides egg flip in milk is also very effective to prevent cold and viral diseases in kids.

 

To a question she said coffee is a natural bean that keeps the body warm adding that it is liver supporting and detoxifies the liver but it should be taken after 3 hours of meals.

 

She warned that if a person is feeling cold in lower body more than usual that means he/she is going towards a big disease like cancer and kidney failure elaborating she said body should not be shivering cold as it tells about the bad health of a person.

 

She said skin related problems start hitting the youth in winter adding that ready made foods especially broiler chicken cause acne problems in youth.
