Marrakech film festival to screen three Karan Johar films as tribute to 100 years of Hindi cinema

KARACHI: As Hindi cinema completes its 100 years, as a mark of tribute, the Marrakech International Film Festival 2012 has planned to host the screening of Karan Johar’s three movies.

 

"Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham"(2001) will be screened on November 30 and two of Karan's latest films "Agneepath" (2012) and "Student of the Year" (2012) will be screened December 2.

 

Reportedly, Amitabh Bachan will attend the event with Karan Johar. The entire cast of the Student of the Year will be present at the screening including Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. The veteran actor Rishi Kapoor will also accompany Karan Johar for the screening of “Agneepath”.

 

Besides that, the Marrakech film festival will pay a special tribute to the late Yash Chopra and will also host an Indian delegation led by Amitabh Bachchan.

 

The international film festival will be held from November 30 to December 8 in the Moroccan capital Marrakech.
