Governor chairs law and order meeting

This was stated by the Governor of Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan.

 

He was presiding over a law and order meeting at the Governor House here on Tuesday.

 

The meeting was also attended by the DIGs of all the three zones of Karachi as well as the SSPs.

 

The Governor was of the view that with focused and targeted approach the situation can also be improved in the jurisdictions of the 25 police stations.

 

He said that the e-policing has been launched and that the technical cadre for police be established and the services of IT specialists be acquired.

 

Dr. Ishrat was of the view that latest technology be utilized for curbing the crimes and that a network of surveillance cameras be installed in the city.

 

He assured that legislation would be undertaken so that the criminals could not taken any benefit from the complexities of law.

 

The Governor exhorted the police personnel to perform their duties with commitment and devotion and assured cooperation of the government as well as for provision of necessary resources.

 

He was of the view that for enhancing image of the police among the people, it is essential that action against the criminals be made meaningful and that the performance of the police be brought before the people.

 

Dr. Ishrat also referred to the sacrifices rendered by the law enforcing agencies towards the law and order.
