Police sources told on Monday that unknown armed men riding bike opened fire at a passenger coach when it after leaving bus-terminal in the metropolis for Karachi was on way on Sariab road.

The conductor of the passenger coach identified as Shamsullah who received multiple bullet wounds in the firing succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital, police said adding that the assailants were three in number who managed to escape from the scene of attack.

The law enforcement personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects.

The police have registered a case.
