Mian Iftikhar demands Noble Peace Prize for Malala Yusafzai

He also lauded the United Nations for observing Malala Day on November 10 across the world in honor of child activist from Swat district who was shot in the head by the Taliban.

 

He also demanded noble peace prize for other two girl students Shazia and Kainat who were injured in attack on Malala Yusafzai.

 

He expressed these views while addressing a special event arranged in the connection with Malala Day here at Press Club.

 

Over eighty percent people in the country have become united against terrorism after armed assault on Malala Yusafzai, he said, adding initially only the ANP was target of the Taliban. Now the entire nation has stood up against the militants, he said and added that how many people they would target.

 

Malala Yusfzai is no more a minor girl students but now she is name of a tehrik, philosophy and thinking which draw a line between the terrorists and ambassadors of peace.

 

The Information Minister said that the entire world was now supporting her in her struggle for promotion of education, adding that voice against terrorism strengthened at the global level after attack on Malala. He also praised the parents for proper up-grooming of Malala.

 

He said that his party was standing like rock against terrorism and will not rest till the time this region was cleansed of terrorism and the people were provided due security against terrorists.

 

Mian Iftikhar Hussain said, lasting peace in this region was not possible unless Pakistan, Afghanistan and United States adopted a uniform policy against terrorism.

 

Terrorism was the biggest problem of KPK and if it got rid of this, then there were no dearth of resources to develop this province. About the US elections, he said that Obama administration had hinted at bringing certain changes in its policies towards this region for which we should be ready.
