Canada, Britain hoping for Obama election win: poll

30 Oct, 2012

The Angus Reid Public Opinion poll found that Canadians prefer Obama over Romney by a seven-to-one margin (72 percent to 10 percent) while Britons favor the Democrat over the Republican by a 10-to-one margin (62 percent to six percent).

They said in the hypothetical ballot question that the incumbent Democrat's foreign policies have been "good" or "very good" for the respective countries.

The online survey of 1,005 Canadians and 2,004 Britons conducted from October 23 to October 26 is considered accurate within a 3.1-percent and 2.2-percent margin of error, respectively.
