Government should create better business environment in the country

Addressing at luncheon meeting, Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI said that unity of the nation in general and business and industrial community in particular is vital for socio-economic development of the country.

 

He said that close collaboration among all the chambers of commerce and industry would a give boost to economic activities.

 

ICCI President said that the economy of Pakistan was facing multiple challenges including energy crisis, hefty decline in investment, deindustrialization, low tax revenue, law & order problems and outflow of capital.

 

He stressed that government should address these problems on priority for creating better business environment in the country.

 

Bakhtari also informed the meeting that Zubair Ahmed Malik, former president of ICCI is a strong candidate for presidency of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

 

He asked the business leaders of ACCI to support him as Malik’s efforts and vision for the welfare of business community and industrial development of the country are indeed creditable and commendable.

 

ICCI President said that facilitating the growth of private enterprises would create multiple benefits for the economy as it will improve productivity, trade, exports, employment and revenue generation for the country.

 

Khalid Saeed, President ACCI and Tariq Mehmood, former President ACCI congratulated Bakhtawari on his appointment as President of ICCI. They said that business community of Attock really value the contribution of Zubair Ahmed Mailk and the final decision to vote for the presidency of FPCCI would be done after mutual consensus among the all business leaders of Attock.

 

ICCI former Presidents Munawar Mughal, Mian Akhram Farid and Zubair Ahmed Malik also spoke on the occasion.
