UK Deputy High Commissioner hosts dinner for KCCI office bearers

The dinner was attended by the managing committee of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

Francis Campbell also welcomed the newly elected President of KCCI, Muhammad Haroon Agar.

 

Abrar Ahmed has been with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 2004 and has held the position of President since 2011. He held the position of Senior Vice President from 2004 to 2005. He is also on the board of members of the Pakistan German Business Council and brings with him more than 30 years experience in manufacturing and trading industry.

 

Formed in 1959, The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the largest that enjoys its own legal entity to represent the various productive and services activities of the private sector in Karachi.

 

The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry enjoys singular distinction of being the premier Chamber of the country, representing the mainstream of economic activities by virtue of its location in industrial and commercial hub of the country.

 

UK Trade and Investment Pakistan have been working closely with Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, by facilitating regular trade delegations between UK and Pakistan to increase the bi-lateral trade relationship.

 

Director for Trade and Investment Pakistan and British Deputy High Commissioner, Francis Campbell during the dinner said: `The level of co-operation the UK Trade and Investment has received from the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the leadership of Mian Abrar has truly marked a significant contribution towards identifying trade and investment opportunities for UK Businesses. His knowledge and ideas have been crucial in achieving our objective of increasing bilateral trade between the UK and Pakistan".
