CBOT corn up on end-week positioning; dn 4.2pc for week

* South Korea's largest feedmaker Nonghyup Feed (NOFI) has issued an international tender for up to 140,000 tonnes of corn and up to 70,000 tonnes of feed wheat, European traders said on Friday.

* Feed millers in the Philippines are looking to buy 60,000 tonnes of feed wheat for January shipment while South Korea is seeking corn as declining prices lure Asian buyers back to the market.

* Rapid progress of the already record fast pace of US corn and soybean harvest is likely for at least the next week with minor slowdowns in the central and eastern Midwest due to light rains, an agricultural meteorologist said on Friday.

* "There will be a few showers today in southeast Missouri, central and southeast Illinois and most of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan but amounts will be only 0.10 inch to 0.50 inch, so no major delays," said Don Keeney, meteorologist for MDA EarthSat Weather.

* Syngenta's drought-tolerant corn seeds performed "extraordinarily well" in a limited planting during the United States' worst drought in half a century, the Swiss company said on Friday.

* Key resistance for the December contract is at its 50-day moving average of $7.91-3/4 and major support at the 100-day ma of $6.77-3/4. The nine-day RSI is at 36.
