A police statement on Tuesday said that those arrested included four absconders.

It said that there was one encounter of the police with the alleged criminals and three accused were caught red handed and a gang of alleged criminals was also busted during the period.

In all, 15 pistols, one carbine and two daggers recovered from the possession of the accused, the police statement further pointed out.
