CS for effective strategy to deal with rain-related problems

He stressed here on Wednesday that measures be taken on priority basis in this regard.

 

The Chief Secretary warned that no dereliction would be tolerated in this connection.

 

He directed that there should be a coordination among the organizations to remove the difficulties the people may face in the wake of rains.

 

Raja Abbas said that there should be an effective strategy in place for draining out accumulated rain water from the low lying areas, provision of electricity and drinking water etc.

 

He stressed that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rehabilitation Department, Relief Commissionerate and other concerned departments should take steps for tackling the rains-related problems.

 

Chief Secretary also directed that the control rooms and emergency centres and other offices in the concerned departments should remain active on round the clock basis.
