Obama sends message of greetings to Prime Minister on Eid-ul-Fitr

In his message of greetings to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, President Barack Obama said, "Ramadan is a time for families and communities to enjoy the tradition of coming together in reflection, devotion, and service."

"On behalf of the American people, I extend best wishes, as you and your people celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. It is my hope that the holy month of Ramadan brings to all Muslims a time of sharing and renewal," he added.

He said, "May you and your people enjoy peace, health, and prosperity in the coming year. Eid Mubarak.
