ISLAMABAD: The top level bureaucracy has been reshuffled after Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf approved a new transfer policy relating to the deployment of officers from federal bureaucracy in Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by the PM House, those officials who have a domicile of Balochistan and have completed three years outside the province will be allowed for posting in Balochistan.

Sources in Establishment Division said that the division has initiated scrutiny of officers who have domiciles of Balochistan or served in the province.

According to the Prime Minister’s decision, officers who have not served in the province may also be redeployed to Balochistan. Officials who were transferred without completing their three-year tenure in the province will also be allowed to serve in the province.

Apart from this, those bureaucrats who have a domicile of Balochistan and have been working in other provinces or the federal government may also be redeployed.

Federal government hopes that the new transfer policy will strengthen the provincial government and discourage the influence involved in transfer/posting of civil bureaucracy.
