Robbers broke into the theatre during the midnight screening of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ and made off with over $16,000.

“The men went to the ticket booths and demanded the ticket money,” the media reported.

No injuries were reported in the robberies. The shows apparently went on.

The smash hit ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ has been plagued with incidence of violence and heightened security inside theaters.

The recent incident came only three days after a fire in the Western Mexico theater that forced the evacuation of 800 moviegoers during the show of the Batman film.
