KARACHI: Aamir Khan has reportedly ditched the promotional campaign of his upcoming movie “Talaash”. Over and above that, Bollywood’s perfectionist has even gone so far as to dedicate his promotional days to other projects.

The perfectionist reportedly wanted to re-shoot certain scenes which he believed were not up to the mark, but Director Reema Kagti refused to comply with his requests.

Khan was expected to return to Mumbai from his “Dhoom 3” shoot in Chicago for the promotion of the film. However, the veteran actor has now given those dates to Rajkumar Hirani's “Peekay.”

"Aamir will be shooting for Dhoom 3 from October to January 2013. He will take a break in November or December for the first schedule of Hirani's project. Other than that, he will not be in Mumbai for anything. Aamir seriously feels that Talaash needs rework. Now the team has two options. They can either go ahead and release the film without their lead actor, which could prove disastrous since Aamir films do well only when he is involved with the project. Or, they can wait for the actor to finish shooting Dhoom 3 in Chicago and return to take charge of Talaash," a source told Indian media sources.

Khan stars alongside Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor in the Bollywood psychological thriller, which was supposed to hit the cinemas later this year. However, his latest tantrum has now put Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani in a fix, and the Bollywood flick is not likely to be released until sometime next year.
