Shujaat says talks with political parties on for seat-adjustment formula for next elections

While addressing the participants of Provincial Organizing Committee of the PML-Q of Khyber Pakhtunkhwah at his residence here, Chaudhry Shujaat said that negotiations were in progress with other political parties for the general election.

He said that any decision would be taken in consultations and the PML-Q candidates would contest the election on the party tickets and maintain their entity.

The meeting was also attended by the party's Secretary-General Mushahid Hussain Sayed and Provincial Convener Nighat Orakzai among others.

Shujaat said that the workers' conventions should be held at division and district levels in order to organize and activate the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwah. He reiterated his party's commitment with the people of Hazara on the issue of creation of Hazara Province.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that in order to organize and activate the party in the province, practical steps including reorganization would be made. He said the party workers would be given responsibilities in the federal and provincial governments in order to ensure they get their right status.

Addressing the meeting, PML Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed said that his party was a national and democratic party and under the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, it was maintaining its power and entity and had emerged as a major force.

He said that PML has its track record; it has provided relief to the people during its tenure and will take part in the next general election with a forceful manifesto.

He said that the party has got the best team of talented people and has its roots in all the four provinces. He said the Muslim League ministries should ensure that the fruits of their relief-oriented efforts reach the people.

Provincial Organizer Nighat Orakzai said that despite problems in the province, all possible steps were being taken to strengthen the party.
