Rs20mn youth project launched

This was stated by Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs Faisal Ali Sabzwari while speaking at the launching of Youth-to-Youth project at a local hotel Monday.

Secretary Youth Affairs Shoaib Siddiqui, director Khurshid Ali Shaikh Mashhood Rizvi of British Council and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.

The minister said that this project was aimed at boosting self confident and decision making among youth and let them use of their abilities for problem solution.

He said that absence of platform, lack of decision, uncertainty and dearth of self confidence for facing challenges were the major problems of today's youth. "Youth Affairs Department has chalked out a plan to assemble youth from urban and rural areas at one platform and provide them training so that they can go to their respected areas and talk to the youth and resolve their problems", he added.

Secretary Youth Affairs said that "Think Tank" of the Department has devised solutions to the problems facing youth in the province and these methods will create self confidence and power of decision making among youth.

Director Youth Affairs Khurshid Ali Shaikh said that Pakistan has the largest population of youth therefore, they are facing numerous problems. Under the project, 40 selected youth from five regions will be trained for training 4000 youth of their respected areas.
