Rain with thunderstorm likely in various parts

The Met Office on Wednesday forecast rains with dust-thunderstorm in parts of the country from Thursday night to Tuesday.
It said that the weather is likely to remain unstable in Pakistan during Thursday night to Tuesday, producing scattered rains with dust-thunderstorm in places of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Kashmir and at a few places of Sindh and northeast Balochistan.
It said that scattered dust-thunderstorm with rain is expected in places and with intervals in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Layyah, Khushab, M B Din, Hafizabad, Gujaranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Shiekupura, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang, T.T.Singh, Sahiwal, Okara, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from Thursday (night) to Monday/Tuesday.
Dust-thunderstorm with rain is also expected in Quetta, Zhob, Harnai, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, D G Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, R Y khan, Bahwalnagar, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shaheed Banazirabad during Friday and Saturday, it said.
Dust-thunderstorm with rain is also expected in Mirpurkhas, Badin and Hyderabad on Monday.
In the next 24 hours: Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the province, while very hot in central and southern districts. However, dust-raising winds/ isolated thunderstorm with light rain is expected in Kashmir, Potohar region, south Punjab, upper KP, northeast Balochistan.
In the past 24 hours: Hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country. Malamjabba received 3 mm of rainfall, Kashmir: Garhi Dupatta 1, mm, each.
The maximum temperature was recorded in Shaheed Banazirabad 51 degrees Celsius, Jaccobabad, Moinjodaro, Dadu and Larkana 50, each.
"Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to enter upper and central parts of the country on Thursday and may persist till Sunday, the Met said.
