  • The administration has advised the traders to use thermal gun scanning, sanitizers, gloves and face masks in a bid to curb spread of the virus.

In a tweet on Thursday, Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal said, "From tomorrow, shopping malls and markets in Punjab will remain open until 10pm instead of 5pm."

He maintained that all motorways in the province will remain open round-the-clock.

Earlier, in a bid to facilitate the public, the Punjab government opened shopping malls and allowed public transport across the province.

The government also gave permission to automobile manufacturing units to operate seven days a week. However, the provincial government has made it compulsory for all shopkeepers and traders to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The administration has advised the traders to use thermal gun scanning, sanitizers, gloves and face masks in a bid to curb spread of the virus.
