Pakistan Rupee showed no change against USD in interbank market on Wednesday over Tuesday's rates while in open market, it lost value against USD according to the dealers.

INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee showed no change for buying and selling against USD over Tuesday's rates closing at 160.35 and 160.70 respectively.

OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, against USD, PKR lost 20 paisas for both buying and selling with respect to Tuesday's rates closing at 160.50 and 161 respectively.

Against Euro, PKR exchange rate recorded no change for buying while it went up by 50 paisas for selling closing at 172.50 and 174 respectively.

Against UAE Dirham, PKR lost 15 paisas for buying and gained 5 paisas for selling closing at 43 and 43.20 respectively.

Against Saudi Riyal, PKR strengthened by 10 paisas for buying and by 20 paisas for selling closing at 41.70 and 42 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee lost its worth in relation to the greenback on buying side at Rs 160.25 but appreciated its value on selling counter at Rs 161.60 in the local currency markets on Wednesday.

According to currency dealers, the greenback opened on a positive note at Rs 160.00 and Rs 162.00 on buying and selling sides, respectively, as against Rs 158.55 and Rs 161.90 on Tuesday. At the close, the dollar was traded at Rs 160.25 and Rs 161.60 on buying and selling counters, respectively, the dealers added.

On the other hand, the British Pound was traded at Rs 193.00 and Rs 196.50 on buying and selling sides, respectively, the dealers added.

RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar remained firm against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi Wednesday.

The dollar opened at Rs161.50 (buying) and Rs161.60 (selling) against the same previous rate.

It closed at Rs161.50 (buying) and Rs 161.60 (selling).

The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold were Rs. 104,300(selling) and Rs. 104,100 (buying) in the local Sarrafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
