MADRID: Spain's central bank chief Miguel Fernandez Ordonez said Wednesday regaining financial market trust is the priority, a day after he announced he is quitting a month early.

"Nothing is more important now than regaining confidence because without that we cannot resolve any of our problems," said Ordonez, who brought forward his departure from the Bank of Spain to June 10 instead of the end of his term on July 12.
