The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has extended the ban on domestic flights for another 16 days till May 29.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, the suspension of domestic air operations, which was earlier scheduled to be resumed after May 13 has been extended for another 16 days, while special flights and chartered planes are exempted from the ban.

Domestic and international flights have been suspended in Pakistan since last month due to the lockdown imposed by the Coronavirus, which is being phased out in recent days.

It should be noted that despite the easing of lockdown across the country, the decision to close public transport, inter-provincial transport, train service, and air operations remains in place.
